MANCHESTER, England -- Three quick thoughts from Manchester City's 4-0 Premier League win over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
1. Man City blast aside Bournemouth
Eight wins in a row for Manchester City, five coming in the Premier League. Against Bournemouth, they were irresistible, though admittedly allowed to play their game by Eddie Howe's insistence on his team playing attacking football.
The rout began in the 15th minute. As Bournemouth's free-kick wall jumped, Kevin De Bruyne, continuing where he left off last week in City's 2-1 Manchester derby win, smashed the ball into an empty net with goalkeeper Artur Boruc left unprotected and dumfounded.
