Pay cut stand off: Agents and PFA's Gordon Taylor advise against wages sacrifice as union DEMANDS Premier League clubs reveal accounts

Premier League clubs are in a stand-off over wages with their players, whose agents and union are advising them not to agree any deferrals or cuts ahead of a crucial meeting of top-flight executives on Friday.

Bournemouth's Eddie Howe became the first Premier League figure to take a voluntary pay cut on Wednesday as the club furloughed 50 members of non-playing staff. But others are resisting pressure to sacrifice wages, with the backing of the Professional Footballers' Association.

Chief executive Gordon Taylor has written to all his members advising them against accepting a wage deferral or reduction.
