Manchester United 'are still keeping tabs on Villarreal's Arnaut Danjuma' one year after the Red Devils chose to splash out £73m on Jadon Sancho instead of signing the in-demand winger from Bournemouth

Manchester United are still interest in Arnaut Danjuma, it has been reported.

The club will look to rebuild their squad under Erik ten Hag this summer as they look to reverse the astonishing decline seen in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson years.

Danjuma, who moved to Villarreal from Bournemouth last summer, is said to have been considered by Manchester United last year as an alternative to Jadon Sancho. The club reportedly held reservations over the playing owing to him playing his football in the Championship at the time.

Arnaut Danjuma has enjoyed an impressive first campaign at Villarreal under Unai Emery

With the Dutchman having enjoyed a stellar first season in Spain under Unai Emery, helping guide Villarreal to their first Champions League semi-final since 2006, he is still said to be of interest to the Manchester club.
