Man in his 30s is stabbed at award-winning Indian restaurant - as police launch probe into attack

A man was stabbed at an award-winning Indian restaurant in Dorset on Saturday as police launch a probe into the incident.

Up to nine police cars were spotted outside Westbourne Tandoori in Bournemouth after the stabbing.

The restaurant was closed and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police were called to assist the ambulance service in the area of Seamore Road at 12.21pm.
