Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas 'is set to sign a two-year contract extension' to stay at Anfield until 2027 with Jurgen Klopp keen to reward the Greek's importance to his Reds squad

Kostas Tsimikas is set to sign a two-year contract extension to remain at Liverpool until 2027, according to a new report.

The Greek left-back has made 62 appearances in all competitions for the Reds since joining from Olympiacos in 2020, and he scored the winning penalty in the club's 2022 FA Cup final win over Chelsea.

Currently tied to Liverpool until 2025, the 27-year-old is set to be rewarded for his importance to Jurgen Klopp's squad with an extension.

The Athletic report on the proposed new deal, despite Tsimikas playing just once this season as a substitute, coming on in injury time during Liverpool's 3-1 win against Bournemouth in August.
