Javi Gracia pinning faith on Patrick Bamford to haul Leeds to safety despite late miss against Leicester City that saw him steer wide from just yards out with the goal - and game - at his mercy

Javi Gracia has backed Patrick Bamford to recover from his horror miss against Leicester and fire Leeds United to safety.

The struggling striker, who has scored just three Premier League goals this season, blew a big chance to hit a late winner in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw when he steered wide at the back post from two yards out.

Despite that, Gracia is set to keep faith in Bamford at Bournemouth on Sunday in a match which could go a long way to deciding Leeds’ Premier League fate.

And the Whites boss is confident the one-cap England man can rediscover his goalscoring touch in time to help his team avoid the drop.
