Jamie Redknapp has recalled his nightmare first day at Liverpool after arriving as one of the most expensive teenagers in 1991 - telling of how he slipped over while attempting a pass in training.
The former midfielder - now a pundit with Sky Sports - cost the Reds around £350,000 after joining from Bournemouth, a pricey fee at the time, and while he would go on to enjoy a memorable career at Anfield, he endured a forgettable opening session with some of his 'heroes'.
Redknapp was brushing shoulders with the likes of John Barnes and Ian Rush and was looking to showcase his ability and justify his price tag, but it all went wrong as he went for a tumble while trying a simple pass.
