Harry Kane forced off with ankle injury against Bournemouth as Tottenham striker throws bottle in frustration with boss Mauricio Pochettino fearing ligament damage to star man

Tottenham supporters will be hoping the ankle injury that forced Harry Kane off against Bournemouth is not a recurrence of the ankle ligament damage he suffered in March 2017.

The England striker has had a number of issues with his right ankle in the past and last season in the FA Cup he suffered ligament damage seven minutes into the 6-0 quarter-final win over Millwall causing him to spend four weeks out.

It was an injury that first came to light for Kane in September 2016 when, after scoring the only goal of the game, he twisted his ankle in the win over Sunderland.
