Bournemouth have reported a non-League footballer after he allegedly sent abusive tweets to Harry Arter concerning the death of his child.
An account under the name of Alfie Barker - a striker for Codicote in the South Midlands League - posted the messages during Bournemouth’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal on Tuesday night.
Arter and his partner Rachel lost their stillborn daughter in December, 2015 and the player has spoken publicly about his family’s heartache.
And Sportsmail understands the Republic of Ireland midfielder is deeply upset having discovered the messages after the game.
