Glenn Hoddle compared Nathan Redmond's superb solo goal in Southampton's FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth to Michael Owen's 1998 strike for England against Argentina.
Redmond's wonderful run and cool finish just seconds before the half-time whistle was the first of two goals for the Saints in their 3-0 victory over their south coast rivals which booked a Wembley appearance for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side.
The Southampton winger picked up the ball just inside his own half and burst away from Bournemouth defender Sergio Rico, then put Steve Cook on the floor with a clever jink before smashing past Asmir Begovic from inside the box.
