EXCLUSIVEFurious Sandbanks residents slam council 'hack job' after luscious green hedges were chopped down leaving just STUMPS along road on Millionaires' Row

Furious Sandbanks residents have slammed a council 'hack job' after luscious green hedges were chopped down, leaving just stumps along a Millionaires' Row road.

Workers at Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council have sparked an angry new backlash after shredding an overgrown hedgerow in the upmarket Hampshire seaside resort Sandbanks.

Some locals had complained overgrown foliage was scratching their expensive cars but other well-heeled residents accused the local authority of going too far - with claims today that the 'extreme' action made it look like the ground was 'set on fire'.

BCP was also accused of carrying out a 'hack job' by critics - yet parents welcomed the removal of what were seen as 'health and safety' concern hedges.
