An ex-police inspector turned councillor has suggested a visit to a strip club could provide the 'stimulation' a couple needs to better their relationship.

Dorchester councillor Les Fry, who served in Dorset Police for 14 years, made the comments last week at a council meeting discussing an objection to a strip club in the seaside town of Weymouth, Dorset.

Susan Stockwell objected to Wiggle strip club's licence renewal on the grounds that it was in breach of the Equality Act because it has no male peformers.

Ms Stockwell, who is not a local of Weymouth, also argued that the strip club could damage the romantic relationships of the club's customers and performers.
