Donny van de Beek will miss the rest of the season with serious knee injury in latest blow to the Dutchman's Man United career... with Erik ten Hag confirming he will return for pre-season training

Manchester United have confirmed that Donny van de Beek will be out for rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury in the win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford earlier this month.

Van de Beek hobbled off shortly before half-time in tears following a challenge from Marcos Senesi who slipped as he went into the tackle.

It has taken United 10 days to discover the full extent of Van de Beek's injury and it's understood that he has not damaged a cruciate ligament.
