The FA Cup is back and served up a dose of the expected with a few shocks.
As far upsets go, Stoke were the biggest victims, losing 2-1 to Coventry at the Ricoh Arena cost Mark Hughes his job, while Bournemouth were saved from an embarrassing defeat at Deans Court thanks to Steve Cook’s late equaliser. An upset could be pending at Stamford Bridge, as Norwich forced a replay with Chelsea following a dire 0-0 draw at Carrow Road.
Manchester City had to come from behind but quickly made light work of Burnley, downing Sean Dyche’s men 4-1, while there were also wins for West Brom, Huddersfield, Watford and a record-breaking 49th third round exit for Ian Holloway’s QPR side.
