Callum Wilson could be forced to WITHDRAW from the England squad due to a hamstring problem - with the Newcastle star to undergo tests ahead of their game with Bournemouth

Callum Wilson is a doubt for Newcastle’s trip to Bournemouth and England’s forthcoming fixtures, putting Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah on standby for a recall.

The striker will undergo tests on a tight hamstring on Friday and there is a feeling Newcastle would prefer their player to rest during the international break, especially given their current injury troubles. Fellow frontman Alexander Isak is still absent with a groin problem.

Should Wilson miss Saturday’s game at Bournemouth - or be fit enough only for the bench - then Anthony Gordon would likely deputise at centre-forward, and he is also a player on Gareth Southgate’s radar.
