Andoni Iraola says Bournemouth will appeal against Evanilson’s red card after the Brazil striker was sent off in Sunday's draw with Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium.
Evanilson was dismissed in the 71st minute for a challenge on Noussair Mazraoui with Bournemouth a goal up, but United fought back to equalise against the 10 men.
Iraola was furious that VAR advised referee Peter Bankes to change Evanilson’s yellow card to a red, claiming the player had slipped as he went into the tackle.
The player is now set to miss three of Bournemouth’s remaining four games of the season, and a furious Iraola believes it may have damaged his team’s hopes of qualifying for Europe.
