Bournemouth hopeful star man Josh King can make quick return to action to help in relegation battle after club get positive news on ankle injury he picked up against Crystal Palace

Bournemouth are hopeful Josh King's ankle injury is not as bad as first feared after he hobbled off against Crystal Palace.

Forward King was forced off after rolling his left ankle when he was caught by the follow through of a strong tackle from Palace defender Gary Cahill, who escaped any punishment following a VAR check.

King had a scan on the injured area on Monday and early indications left Bournemouth optimistic he has escaped serious damage, easing initial worries that he could be ruled out for as much as the rest of the season.
