Bournemouth 0-1 Valencia: Fabian Orellana strike proves the difference as Eddie Howe's men taste pre-season defeat against La Liga outfit

Bournemouth fell to a 1-0 defeat against La Liga side Valencia courtesy of a stunning second-half strike at the Vitality Stadium.

Fabian Orellana grabbed the only goal of the game, cutting inside on to his right foot and curling beyond Bournemouth's substitute keeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The goal was enough to inflict defeat on the hosts for the first time in pre-season, having won all three of their previous encounters.
