Manchester United took a giant stride towards a top-four finish by beating Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
United started brightly and took the lead inside nine minutes when Casemiro adjusted his body brilliantly to acrobatically volley home Christian Eriksen's through ball. Bournemouth still carried a threat, though, with Dominic Solanke forcing a sharp stop from David de Gea.
The visitors controlled the majority of the second half, but could not put the game to bed, and were indebted to their goalkeeper late on as De Gea made a crucial one-on-one save to deny substitute Kieffer Moore.
