There was always the risk Bournemouth could suffer a dip in performance after such an ecstatic win over Liverpool a week before on Dec. 4 and unfortunately for the Cherries that is exactly what happened. Eddie Howe's side enjoyed 71 percent possession but their lack of potency in front of goal cost them the match as Burnley ran out 3-2 winners.
Positives
Benik Afobe's name on the score sheet was the main positive of the afternoon. He finally ended a nine-month goal drought and Howe has a selection dilemma on his hands as to whether to start him over the out-of-form Callum Wilson the next time he decides on a 4-5-1 formation.
