Benik Afobe misses out on international debut... after FA send his registration to the wrong Congo

Benik Afobe was prevented from making his international debut during the last window, because the FA sent his paperwork to the wrong country.

Afobe is an England under 21 international, but has chosen to represent the Democratic Republic of Congo the country of his parents birth, at senior level.

He was in line to make his debut for the country in a World Cup qualifier against Guinea last week, but hapless FA officials sent his registration details to the Republic of the Congo instead.
