Barnsley's impressive winning run came to an end on Wednesday after Valerien Ismael's promotion hopefuls were held by Wayne Rooney's stubborn Derby County at Oakwell.
The Tykes entered the contest in Yorkshire in strong form, having won their last five league games, as they looked to extend the gap to seventh-placed Bournemouth to four points.
However, the hosts were unable to breakdown County's stoic defence and were forced to settle for a point, as Rooney left Oakwell with a positive result following back-to-back league defeats.
