Arsenal have stepped up their attempts to sign a replacement goalkeeper for Aaron Ramsdale and have agreed a deal in principle to sign Bournemouth's Neto on loan, according to reports.

Southampton agreed a £25million deal to sign Ramsdale earlier this week with Mikel Arteta's side subsequently resuming talks to sign Joan Garcia from Espanyol.

But talks appeared to have stalled, with Sky Sports reporting the Gunners have reached a deal to sign Neto on loan.

The outlet claims that the agreement does not include an obligation or option to buy the 35-year-old Brazilian.
