After watching Jermain Defoe make a scoring return to England colours, Adam Lallana admitted it was 'quite surreal' playing alongside his old Bournemouth hero.
The Sunderland striker capped off his first international start in nearly four years with the opening goal as England sailed past Lithuania at Wembley on Sunday.
Defoe's opening goal was added to by Jamie Vardy in the second-half as Gareth Southgate's side moved four points clear of Slovakia at the top of Group F.
And Lallana had glowing praise for the ever-green 34-year-old, who earned his 56th cap for his country.
