Watch: Red Sox’ Jarren Duran steals home in bizarre scoring sequence

The Chicago White Sox gave Red Sox speedster Jarren Duran a golden opportunity to provide a free run for the Red Sox in the third inning on Friday night.

First, an error allowed Bobby Dalbec to score from first and send Duran to third base on what should have been an easy out. After that, Chicago made another critical mistake to give Boston an early lead.

It appeared as though the White Sox were disputing a ruling that Duran touched first base on his way to third. So, after a huddle at home plate, rather than delivering a pitch, Garrett Crochet delivered a pick-off to first base, seemingly with the hope of getting Duran out.
