Some things really do stand the test of time.
Nearly five years ago, Michael Chavis burst onto the Major League Baseball scene with the Red Sox.
The 2014 first-round draft pick was quickly dubbed the “Ice Horse” in 2019 by awe-struck Boston fans, when he hit homer after homer following his promotion from Triple-A Pawtucket. In August, the Mariners infielder looked back on that season, calling his experience in New England “wild,” according to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo.
“I was literally living my dream and doing everything well, performing well in the major leagues,” Chavis said.
