Red Sox right-hander Rick Porcello threw an immaculate inning Wednesday night against the Tampa Rays. The 28-year-old struck out Trevor Plouffe, Wilson Ramos, and Mallex Smith on three pitches each during the bottom of the fifth. Porcello’s inning featured three foul balls, four swinging strikes, and two called strikes.

Boston is the only team to have multiple immaculate innings this season. On May 11, reliever Craig Kimbrel had one of his own during the bottom of the ninth against the Milwaukee Brewers.
