How many players from Honduras have played major league baseball? The answer is none. But the Red Sox have one that may eventually make it to the majors in Mauricio Dubon who was drafted in the 26th round in 2013 and is now ranked 20th on Sox Prospects.
Dubon is now 20-years-old and is certainly a work in progress as he develops his skills at Greenville in the South Atlantic League. Dubon is a right-handed bat who does split duty between second and short for The Drive and will usually bat in the number one position.
