FORT MYERS -- Yes, the shoulder program is a factor in Tyler Thornburg’s injury, the Red Sox pitcher reiterated again today.
One day after both manager John Farrell and president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski went on the attack, blaming writers for discussing the Red Sox’ shoulder program as a contributing factor to Tyler Thornburg’s shoulder issues, Thornburg again admitted just that.
Thornburg echoed the comments he first made three weeks ago when he said the shoulder program was a contributing factor.
“If anything, it might have fatigued my arm a little bit before the first outing,” Thornburg said.
