FORT MYERS -- The Red Sox aren't going to get away with this one.
One day after both manager John Farrell and president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski went on the attack, blaming writers for discussing the Red Sox’ shoulder program as a contributing factor to Tyler Thornburg’s shoulder issues, Thornburg again admitted just that.
Farrell, who was the first to publicly discuss the program as something that can be difficult for new pitchers, said yesterday, “There’s been a lot written targeting our shoulder program here. I would discount that completely… To suggest that his situation or his symptoms are now the result of our shoulder program, that’s false.
