Trump threw a jab at the Red Sox about the Mookie Betts trade

President Donald Trump turned around and shook hands with a smiling Mookie Betts during the Dodgers’ visit to the White House on Monday.

Since leaving the Red Sox, Betts has won two World Series titles with the Dodgers, bringing his total to three.

Los Angeles triumphed over the New York Yankees in last year’s Fall Classic. Betts was instrumental throughout the playoff run, batting .290, hitting four home runs, and tallying 16 RBIs during last year’s postseason.

“Oh is he good!” Trump explained before he walked over to Betts. Then, he walked back over to the lectern and talked about the mistake the Red Sox made when they traded him to the Dodgers in 2020.
