The story for the Red Sox Friday night was, well, Trevor Story.
Boston’s shortstop put together an excellent performance at the plate against the White Sox at Fenway Park, clobbering a pair of three-run home runs in his team’s 10-3 victory.
Story’s first long ball came right out of the gate in the bottom of the first inning, a 427-foot blast to center field off former Red Sox Martin Perez to give Boston a 3-0 lead.
The 32-year-old wasn’t finished after that. In the seventh, Story launched another three-run homer, this one a 365-footer into the back of the Green Monster.
