The Red Sox are in a youth movement-of sorts. Three rookies in a row- Henry Owens, Steven Wright, and Eduardo Rodriguez faced the Yankees this week. All of them more than held their own. They combined for a 2.70 ERA with 5 walks and 19 strikeouts. The team as a whole in in the 4.50 area.
Owens, Wright and E-Rod vary in size and speed. But, with the Sox now playing for next year, their performances hold out some hope for the future.
