The Blue Jays took three out of five in this past week’s marathon of a series, but we saw something very uncommon over the weekend: Low scoring games. Thursday’s game was tied 2-2 after nine and needed extra innings before the Blue Jays broke out, scoring four in the tenth and in the process giving Phillips Valdez his first stumbling block of the season. The Blue Jays then took the second of the five games, which was also the first of a double header on Friday. Toronto came out on top 8-7 in an exciting offensive game that saw both teams score three runs in the final frame.
