The Red Sox made a few roster moves before Friday night’s series opener against the Rays in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Infielder Eduardo Nunez was placed on the 10-day injured list with a back strain, retroactive to Thursday; infielders Tzu-Wei Lin and Michael Chavis were recalled from Pawtucket; right-handed pitcher Erasmo Ramirez was designated for assignment.
