The playoffs have officially arrived and it doesn’t get any better than this. For only the fourth time in the history of the rivalry the Red Sox and Yankees will meet the playoffs. It’s hard to believe, but this is the first time the Red Sox have played the Yankees since 2004. For fans in their early 20’s and younger this will be their first real taste of what the rivalry looks like when its amped up to 11 during the playoffs. Would the road have been slightly easier if the A’s had won? Maybe.
