At some point in the next week or so, when I get some time to sit down and really think about things, I’ll probably put together some sort of top moments or top games of 2018 post. If you were to ask me at which point I truly realized that we were watching a special team, however, I don’t have to think too much about it. A few years ago on the ol’ Twitter machine, I started using the hashtag #turningpoint during one of the bad Red Sox seasons — I think 2014? — basically joking that every good thing that happened was going to turn around what was ultimately a massively disappointing year.
