The positive feelings of winning streaks have not lasted all that long at any point during the 2015 season for the Red Sox.
Chalk up another one of those streak-busting losses yesterday, as the Tampa Bay Rays got to Junichi Tazawa in the top of the eighth inning to ultimately snap the Sox’ winning run at three games with a 4-3 victory at Fenway Park.
Wade Miley pitched efficiently in 62⁄3 innings and Robbie Ross Jr. helped escape a bases loaded jam they created in the seventh. But it was Tazawa, one of the most reliable arms out of the bullpen, who coughed this one up in the eighth inning.
