The first real move of Boston’s offseason is in the books, and with it the Red Sox have brought back the World Series MVP. Steve Pearce is staying in Boston for another go at it, as he and the Red Sox agreed to a one-year, $6.25 million deal. Jeff Passan of Yahoo! was the first to report the deal, and the team later confirmed.

This is very good news for the Red Sox, and honestly I’m a little surprised that it not only happened but happened so quickly.
