- When the Red Sox needed an offensive boost last season, their biggest addition was a 20-year-old kid with nine games of Triple-A experience. Devers spent the first half of last season in Double-A, and his offensive performance was so impressive that the Red Sox brought him to the big leagues after only a brief cameo with Triple-A Pawtucket.
