The starters for the Red Sox have been struggling all season long and it is only April. Clay Buchholz took the mound for the Sox last night and continued the trend. He wasn’t able to make it out of the 3rd inning and frustratingly gave up the nice lead the Sox bats had given him. The bullpen wouldn’t do much to help and the Jays easily got the win to even up the series.
The Red Sox gave Clay a 4 run lead in the 2nd inning. Bogaerts hit an RBI single to plate Sandoval. That was followed by 3 RBI singles in a row from Betts, Pedroia and Ortiz.
