The Red Sox came into the game with the series tied and were hoping for a series win. Clay Buchholz was on the mound for the Sox and in his last few outings he has looked much more like the promising pitcher we need him to be. Buchholz struggled some in the early innings, but he was able to get into the 8th and give the team a quality start. Unfortunately he didn’t get much in terms of run support and the team lost the game and the series.
Buchholz wasn’t able to get out of the first inning without giving up a couple runs.
