BOSTON -- Fresh off a four-homer barrage in the opener of this three-game series against the Angels, the Red Sox were back at it again on Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
With a trifecta of long balls in the second, capped by a three-run shot by J.D. Martinez, Boston broke out to a 6-0 lead.
It was Martinez's MLB-leading 25th of the season, giving him the club record for the most home runs by the end of June.
Martinez hit a 108.1-mph rocket to left-center at a projected distance of 404 feet against lefty starter Andrew Heaney.
