The Red Sox had a late afternoon game on Wednesday to finish off the 2 game series with the Marlins. The Sox had rookie Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound vs. Adam Conley for the Marlins. Rodriguez gave up 4 runs early, but the Sox were able to come back and tie the game. Unfortunately things went south for the Sox quickly in the 6th inning and the Marlins were able to easily coast to victory.
The Marlins jumped out on top 1-0 in the 1st when Rodriguez gave up a leadoff homerun to Gordon. The Sox were able to tie the game in the top of the 2nd inning when David Ortiz hit a solo homerun of his own.
