The Red Sox headed to Kansas City for a quick 3 game series before heading back to Fenway Park. The Sox had Monday’s game rained out and so the first game of the series was last night with Rick Porcello on the mound. Porcello got into a small hole early and even though the offense tried to battle back, the bullpen would make the win easy for the defending World Series champs.
The Sox were able to crack the scoreboard first, but their lead wouldn’t be long lasting. Jackie Bradley Jr. continued his hitting streak to 22 games and he did it in the 2nd inning with an RBI double to score Travis Shaw.
