BOSTON -- Red Sox manager John Farrell won't be suspended for his actions last Friday night in New York, a baseball source told ESPN.
Farrell was ejected by home-plate umpire Ron Kulpa for arguing a called strike to David Ortiz in the ninth inning of a 3-2 loss at Yankee Stadium. But after leaving the dugout briefly, Farrell returned for the next pitch, a game-ending called strike, and ran onto the field to hold back Ortiz in a screaming match with Kulpa.
According to a baseball source, Farrell won't miss any games, although he could be fined.
