NEW YORK — How damning is it that Hanley Ramirez and Pablo Sandoval didn’t make the Red Sox’ final road trip of the season — and nobody really gives a damn?
It’s one thing to disappoint from a production standpoint, which both Ramirez and Sandoval did, but it’s stunning that the pair of high-priced imports now feel irrelevant to the present and especially the future of the Red Sox.
Because the duo did so little throughout most of the season, it’s hard to summon outrage that they are not traveling with the team.
Still, it’s an indictment on their impact, not to mention being a bad look.
