Share All sharing options for: The Red Sox played baseball today

Before yesterday’s Spring Training game between the Dodgers and the Cubs in Arizona, it had been 110 days since a Major League pitch had been thrown (by current Red Sox rotation member and defending World Champion Walker Buehler). Today’s contest did not feature many consequential players from the 2024 Red Sox squad, and, as tradition goes for the first game of Spring, the Sox faced the Northeastern Huskies. Keep that in mind before you get upset about the team’s performance on February 21. Today was about getting in some extra at-bats against a capable squad — and of course, an early chance to watch some names like Marcelo Mayer, “The Password” Garcia, and Kristian Campbell.
