It’s a homecoming of sorts for Garrett Crochet, returning to Guaranteed Rate Field for the first time since his trade to the Boston Red Sox. Although, as was mentioned during the winter, over his four years in Chicago Crochet made only 32 starts — all coming last year. The rest of the time was bullpen work. And while Crochet may have been the ace in Chicago, it was more that there was no alternative on the White Sox to possibly claim that mantle. Still, the White Sox were the team that drafted him so he’s heading back to where his young carer began.
