Sam Kennedy: 'No restrictions or limitations' in making Red Sox a winner again

The Red Sox have had their taste of last place the past few years and, according to incoming team president Sam Kennedy, there will be no "restrictions or limitations" when it comes to making this team a winner again.

“The number one goal is to win, that’s our organizational mandate, to play baseball in October,” said Kennedy, following the announcement for the upcoming Fenway Hurling Classic today. “Especially when two years in a row you fall short, you're reminded of how painful it is.”

Kennedy, the team's chief operating officer who is set to succeed Larry Lucchino at the close of the season, said the team is "very excited about what (new president of baseball operations) Dave (Dombrowski) brings to the table" and that Dombrowski has control over how the roster will be put together.
